Information under Article 13 GDPR
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Kristian Kiel
Osdorfer Weg 86 B
22607 Hamburg
Germany
Email: service@billevo.de
2. Principle: local use and optional online features
BILLEVO can be used locally on your computer. Depending on the function used, online components may also be utilized — for example for web-app access, sync features, license verification, error reports or other online services actively used by you.
Which data is processed depends on the specific feature used. There is no blanket transfer of all your bookkeeping data to us or third parties. The concrete purpose of the actively used feature always applies.
3. Access data when visiting this website
When you access this website, the hosting provider records technically necessary data (server log files) that your browser transmits automatically:
- Anonymized IP address
- Date and time of access
- Page or resource accessed
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- Browser and operating system used
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website). Log data is deleted after 14 days at the latest.
In addition, data-minimal website events such as download clicks, checkout clicks or successfully submitted contact requests may be recorded to improve the website technically and to make important workflows traceable. We do not store the full IP address — only technically reduced or hashed signals and aggregated analytics.
4. Contacting us via the contact form or email
When you contact us via the contact form or by email, the data you provide (name, email address, message text and voluntary information) is processed to handle your request. The contact form is delivered server-side via an SMTP service to BILLEVO; the data is not used for advertising or tracking. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose.
5. Download, license purchase and additional services
When purchasing a BILLEVO license or using additional services, the data required for contract handling, support or provision is processed. This may include name, email address, billing data and, depending on the service, other technically necessary information.
For the public checkout, Lemon Squeezy may be integrated as the checkout and payment provider. In that case, the privacy notices and contractual terms of Lemon Squeezy additionally apply.
6. Fonts
This website uses the “Inter” font locally from its own server. Loading the font does not establish a connection to Google Fonts.
7. Cookies, local storage and external media
This website does not use classic tracking cookies for advertising purposes. Your choice on cookies and media is stored locally in your browser. Necessary functions are always active. External media such as the Trustpilot widget are only loaded if you consent to the “Marketing / external media” category. Google and Trustpilot profiles can be opened independently as external links.
8. Lemon Squeezy affiliate tracking (only with consent)
If you consent to the marketing category in the cookie banner, a tracking script from Lemon Squeezy (lmsqueezy.com) is loaded. This script sets a cookie for affiliate commission attribution. Storage period: 30 days.
Purpose: Affiliate commission accounting. If you arrive on the website via an affiliate link, the corresponding affiliate is identified and credited with the commission upon purchase.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent) in conjunction with ยง 25 (1) TTDSG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Data recipient: Lemon Squeezy LLC (USA / third country). Transfer to the USA is based on standard contractual clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. Lemon Squeezy privacy notice: https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
